Why Bees?
A world without bees would just be sad: no juicy strawberries or beautiful flowers, no nuts and seeds, honey, and no coffee!
Wait, did you say no coffee!?
Bees are essential in our world food system. In fact, bees and other pollinators are responsible for one out of every three bites of food we eat. They are vital to the reproduction of over 100 types of crops in the US, including avocado, almonds and apples. Due to a variety of factors including modern commercial farming practices there is a massive bee die off known as ‘colony collapse disorder’. That’s why I decided to partner with Groundwork — a company committed to sustainable, relationship-based, organic coffee sourcing — in developing a line of coffee dedicated to saving the honey bees!
